“Somebody
tried to set fire to her,” I was told at the rescue centre.
The
three month-old puppy was so defenceless and cute. How could anyone do that?
But despite the horrors, this pup had been through, the moment we met, she
leapt on my lap, rested her head on me. I fell in love, there and then. I
called her Ace. For the next 15 years, we were inseparable.

Way
back in the late 1990s, a strange haunting which occurred at the
Gynaecology Department of one of our local hospitals received wide
spread news coverage, including by the National TV station PBS.
It
was reported that members of the staff working at the Gynaecology
department refused to stay in a section of this ward, where they
alleged they were hearing funny noises including mysterious
footsteps, even though no one was there.
An
unnamed witness said that whenever she entered this particular room
she felt a mysterious and unearthly chill. The priest who is resident
at the hospital was asked to intervene, probably with prayers.
Although he later confirmed to he press that something uncanny was
going on in this ward, he refused to give details.
Sometime
before this strange occurrence at the gynaecology ward, a woman died
there whilst she was giving birth to a baby.

A
taxi driver was driving down from the airport past the main road of
the Addolorata Cemetery. It was well after midnight. Suddenly he felt
a cold shiver going down his spine. He took a deep breath and tried
to concentrate on the dark empty road ahead. The cold feeling
persisted. He had this funny presentiment that someone was staring at
him. Instinctively he looked in the driver's mirror and saw a man
sitting in the back seat.
